In the past, most down factories focused on the feather finishing, sorting technology, and cleanliness of down. The lack of R&D capabilities has limited the development of Taiwan's down industry. Kwong Lung noticed the need for innovation, and we established a research and development department in 2009. Kwong Lung became the world's first down processing company to pass the Bluesign in 2010. So far, Kwong Lung has passed three Bluesign audits and successfully extended the Bluesign certificate for eight years. In the future, Kwong Lung will continue to produce 'safe' down with a green and environmentally friendly spirit.

High-quality down has always been Kwong Lung's commitment. In terms of quality control, Kwong Lung follows different market standards. Furthermore, Kwong Lung cooperated with the Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI) to establish industry norms and guidelines.

In the process of close cooperation with the Taiwan Textile Industry Research Institute (TTRI), TTRI also found that the performance-related products developed by Kwong Lung are extremely competitive in the market. In 2014 and 2015, Kwong Lung won two economic awards from the Ministry of Science and Technology. Besides, Kwong Lung invested 27 million NTD to establish the R&D Instrument Analysis Center.

According to the 'European Sportswear and Footwear Market Analysis,' the sportswear market will reach a scale of 93 billion US dollars by 2018. In the future, people's demand for textile clothing will continue to increase substantially. 

For the new R&D and logistics center, Kwong Lung has brought down and apparel R&D teams together. In addition to maintaining their development's independence, they can also be quickly integrated across departments to allow Kwong Lung's innovation and design capabilities to play the most reliable connection.
